Saxophonist, composer, and recording artist, Marion Meadows recently participated in a ground breaking interview “Marion Meadows: In His Own Words."

Published in the June 2006 edition of The Ebony Cactus magazine (www.TheEbonyCactus.com) Marion details his vision on the future of Jazz and where he is going. To quote Marion, “I don't want us to lose sight of this innovative style of expression that started out with such reckless abandon and has evolved into all of the tributaries flowing into this incredible river of music."

In the article Marion breaks the news on new projects including the possibility of a Jazz Television Show and introduces the people who are working to make his entrepreneurial visions real. He also discusses the need for children to know and understand American music no matter what the genre.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
