Note to editor: With only a few days left, I hoping to give this a final publicity boost, hoping to get some attention for a genuinely good thing. I'm a fine artist, specialised in visualising music with a strong liking to the jazzy type of music. The following event has been going on for a few days now, and to be honest, we're a little stuck since we haven't sought big publicity for this. And because it's a really good thing we're trying to achieve, we're now doing boldy what we can to get some more media attention for it! Any publicity would be greatly appreciated! ------------------------------------------------------

Dear Music and Art friends, I think we all agree that what happened in the Big Easy was more than a little intolerable. Natural disasters are one thing... not taking cries for help seriously, is another. Now I'm sure there's plenty of dirt to be thrown, but unfortunately that doesn't help the victims to build up a new life. With all my heart I felt I needed to do something. As a contribution to the aid effort, I've donated one of my works as a charity auction item. The event is kindly being hosted on Marcus Miller's Website, as the painting is a visualisation of one of his works. Details of the auction can be found here: http://www.marcusmiller.com/news_entry.html?newsid=152&color=2 The daily updated bidding thread can be found here: http://www.marcusmiller.com/board_item.html?id=55906&thread=20787&period=-1&color=1&thread_id_str=20791:20787

The work is from the series “Musical Visualisers" - and is entitled “Goodbye Porkpie Hat"

Words on the artwork: The painting 'Goodbye Porkpie Hat' is the visualisation of what I hear in Marcus's rendition of the song: the beautifully deep velvet vibe that brings the silence to a flow in a vivid motion of streaming colours. Solid blocks of gentle bassdrum beats, coloured by the furry sound of the warm and welcoming bass, provide a supporting structure for the lively keys and front end fretless to playfully chase eachother in an almost classical ballet, swirling around eachother, feeling safe within the comprehensive, ample embrace of the low end tight knit bass, hi hat/rimshot and underlying key chords.

- Music and Art are Two and One. - Help us to get the positive energy going to the right places and please forward this email on to other good people, if you're not interested yourself, or add the link to your own website. Thanks very much! Met vriendelijke groet / Kind regards, Pris
