David Hoerl, harmonica player for west coast jump/swing blues band The Twisters needs your votes for Harmonica Player of the Year in the Maple Blues Awards.

Hey all, I've been nominated for Harmonica Player of the Year in the Toronto Blues Society's Maple Blues Awards. With your help, maybe I can win this year. In any event, please cast your vote for every category this year, as there are many great blues artists in this big country of ours who deserve your recognition and support. You can also write in your choice if you don't agree with who is on the ballot. Thanks for your support, Dave “Hurricane" Hoerl.

If you're Canadian and want to vote for this West Coast guy, then please do so before Dec. 8.

About The Maple Blues Awards The Maple Blues Awards is Canada's national blues awards program. Its goal is to promote blues music across Canada, and to recognize outstanding achievement in the field.

The nominees are selected by a distinguished panel of blues DJs and journalists from across Canada. Members of the Nominating Panel are not eligible for any of the awards.

The winners are selected by the votes of blues fans from across Canada. Blues fans cast their votes online, at www.mapleblues.ca (designed by KMP Designs, Inc). The voting for the 11th annual awards opens at midnight (EST) November 3rd 2007, and ends at midnight (PT) December 8, 2007.

This year's winners will be announced at the annual 11th Annual Maple Blues Awards Gala in Toronto, on January 21, 2008. This very special evening is Canada's national annual celebration of homegrown blues talent. It's also a night of great music by the Maple Blues Band, comprised entirely of Maple Blues Awards winners and nominees. The show will once again be broadcast live by CIUT. This year's host will be announced soon.
