Major Label Signs An Algorithm To A 20 Album Deal

This is NOT an early April Fools joke. Endel, an app that uses algorithms the company calls predictive mechanics to produce personalized sounds to help you focus and relax, has signed a multi-album deal with Warner Music Group.

As part of the deal with WMG's Art Music division,  the five first albums part of its Sleep series titled Clear Night, Rainy Night, Cloudy Afternoon, Cloudy Night, and Foggy Morning have been released on Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play, and Deezer.

They will be releasing their remaining 15 albums for modes Focus, Relax, and On-the-Go throughout the year, with each tailored to specific activities, tasks and goals.

The Alexa Fund, Avex (the biggest music company in Japan) and Major Lazer’s Jillionaire are among the various investors in Endel. The app reached #1 on Top Free Apps for iOS devices in Japan and just launched in November.
