Experimental-electronic-fusion-funk-popsters Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi continue their voyage with sophomore album Think Thoughts, anticipated to drop November 29th. Since their 2010 self-titled debut, Louis and Genevieve have gained unyielding momentum with notoriously cracked out radio pop covers and undoubtedly unique originals all played out on their YouTube channel, which has over 6,100 subscribers and about 629,000 upload views. Their YouTube cred also includes a collaboration with the beloved Pomplamoose as well as a front-page feature for their song “Window Shop."

Think Thoughts is an exciting step forward for Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi, as they build upon signature elements like Louis's impressively bombastic drumming style, Genevieve's seamless transitioning from funky speak-singing to no-nonsense straight tone, and unconventional harmonies that weave gracefully into a colorful multitude of grooves and atmospheres.

Their ever-expanding eclectic list of influences ranging from Stereolab to Miles Davis to Gyorgi Ligeti has grown to include punk funk legends James Chance and E.S.G., avant-garde rock clan CAN, fusion giant Dave Weckl, and Dubstep scenesters Skrillex and Nero, among others. Adding the influence of icons like James Brown, Michael and Janet Jackson, and Brian Wilson into the mix, Louis and Genevieve push themselves further into a pop direction on their album Think Thoughts and in doing so push pop further into outer space.

Despite long hours spent recording in a Los Angeles bedroom-slash-studio, Louis and Genevieve are no strangers to the stage. In addition to years of experience in a jazz setting, Genevieve has performed extensively as front woman for her band Pollyn since 2009, including shows with Little Dragon and J*DaVeY as well as performances at Low End Theory, It's a School Night, and Sunset Junction Festival. Louis has gained attention as a drum virtuoso, playing with heavy hitters in both the Los Angeles and New York jazz scenes; among these are pianist Brad Mehldau, organist Larry Goldings, and guitarist Anthony Wilson. Also on the list are saxophonist David Binney, pianist John Escreet, and bassist Tim Lefebvre, the three of whom are featured on Think Thoughts.

Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi recently returned from a successful West Coast tour with Pomplamoose, playing to sold out audiences in LA, Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco. As they anticipate the release of Think Thoughts, Louis and Genevieve are working diligently on videos for every song on the album and recording new covers. Their momentum doesn't seem to be slowing any time soon.
