Featuring 9 Time Grammy Winner Eddie Palmieri, The Latin Giants Of Jazz, Dave Valentin, Oreste Vilato, Alfredo De La Fe, Jazz On The Latin Side All-Stars Featuring Conga Master Francisco Aguabella

Nederlander Concerts in association with Eddie Rodriguez, President of Latin Works Music a Latin concert promotions company, announced that tickets are now on sale at all Ticketmaster locations for The Los Angeles Latin Jazz Festival 2008 at The Greek Theater. The one night only event will take place on May 10, 2008 at 7:00 PM and feature nine time Grammy Award winner and the undisputed “King of the Latin Music" Eddie Palmieri who is celebrating 50 years on the bandstand as a leader, pianist, arranger, composer and songwriter. Performing as Mr. Palmieri's invited guests will be Puerto Rican vocalist Herman Olivera and Cuban violinist Alfredo De La Fe.

Also performing at the Festival will be the “The Latin Giants of Jazz" which reunites former Tito Puente Orchestra members performing together in Los Angeles for the first time since the passing of “El Rey" in 2000. This Latin big band under the musical direction of Jose Madera and leadership of Johnny Rodriguez will perform the music of the Palladium era which in recent years has been the preferred music of professional Salsa Music Dancers throughout the world. Performing with The Latin Giants of Jazz will be Grammy Award winning flautist, Dave Valentin and a former member of the Carlos Santana Band Cuban percussionist Oreste Vilato. The show will open with a performance by Jose Rizo's Jazz on the Latin Side All-Stars featuring the last of the original Cuban Conga Master Mr. Francisco Aguabella.
