You need to know about jazz singer Doris Long, who is an 83 years young, talented and elegant lady. Long released her debut CD “Long Overdue" in May 2012. The project was financed by fans, friends, family and local musicians. It is a 17 song collection of American Songbook standards that features Long on vocals, Joe Hunter on piano, Dallas Coffey on bass, Val Kent on drums and Al Fuller on tenor sax. According to music critic Greg Cielec, the standards are “done the right way" letting the vocals shine while still allowing the musicianship of the band to come through.

Doris celebrated her CD Release on July 11th at Nighttown in Cleveland Heights to a sold out house. She performs every Friday and Saturday from 7 to 10:30 pm at the Waterbury Coach House in Lakewood, Ohio.
