Via an email from Brett Underwood
(who's recently added blogger"
to his multi-hyphenate resume), word comes that the Lemp Neighborhood Arts Center
has added two concerts of improvised music to its schedule.
Saxophonist Bhob Rainey
, who's made Christmas week stops at LNAC the last couple of years, will be back in St. Louis next Tuesday, December 23 to perform a solo concert at the venue.
Then on Saturday, January 17, percussionist Tatsuya Nakatani
will visit the LNAC to conduct a daytime workshop dealing with improvisation and extended percussion techniques, followed that evening by a concert that will feature collaboration with local performers.
Show time for both events is 8:00 p.m., and each has a $5 admission charge.
