Toronto - Celebrating the Third Annual Brenda Carol Renaissance Jazz Fair, Ms. Carol and Jon Long of Long & McQuade are proud to announce the 2009 Jazz Fair featuring some of Canada’s finest up-and-coming young jazz artists including; Nathan Hiltz (guitar), Ross MacIntyre (bass), Rob Christian (saxophone/flute), Sam Dickinson (guitar), trumpetess Nicole Rampersaud with her quartet, guitarist Tom Ionescu and his Trio as well as singers; Janice Hawke, Kate Schutt singing and playing a Novax 8-string, Tyanna Nikitta with her 4 piece band and vocalists Carin Redman and Pat Murray, singer/songwriter Sienna Dahlen, vocalist/flutist Lisa Particelli (who will be exhibiting her paintings during the jazz fair) and Shannon Butcher who will be celebrating her debut CD along with many more artists to be announced in the New Year!

As part of Third Annual Jazz Fair Brenda Carol will be offering a FREE JAZZ MASTERS CLASS entitled: Choosing Repertoire for Auditions highlighting applied jazz standards for audition admissions to Canadian High Schools and Post Secondary Institutions. This new master class series is funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation in affiliation with the Beaches Jazz Festival Youth Initiatives program.

The Third Annual Brenda Carol Renaissance Jazz Fair will be taking place at the Renaissance Cafe, 1938 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, ON starting at 8:00 pm each night. Doors open at 7:00 pm for early seating and hospitality. General admission tickets (no reservations) are $18.00 each in advance or $22.00 at the door. A three-day pass is $49.00 advance or Friday only. Advance tickets are available at brendacarol.com through Jon Long, Long & McQuade, 925 Bloor Street West and at renaissancecafe.ca. Advance tickets are also available from the artists directly. All ages are welcome.
