Leron Thomas presents a mixed genre event at 92Y Tribeca on Friday February 18. The three artist bill showcases the spirited post-bop talents of Logan Richardson featured with an incredible line up; Keyon Harrold, Sam Harris, Burniss Earl Travis and Bram Kincheloe. The amazingly fun, high energy funk band 6 Figures includes; Louis Cato, Nozomi Yamaguchi, DJ Ginyard, Corey Bernhard, ((D White}} and James Casey are sure to deliver. Returning to 92Y Tribeca following an outstanding set at Jason Moran's 713-212 Houstonians event, Thomas is supported by the talents of Mark Kelley, Nir Felder, Theo Hill, Amaury Acosta and Axel Tosca-Laguart in a genre bending set of vocal and instrumental based music that covers a diverse spectrum, a finely crafted mold that can turn any night into a party.

“Mr. Thomas—trumpeter, singer, composer and almost comedian—sang wordy, needling songs about sex and insecurities and character flaws, yelling out private jokes wherever possible. Intermittently hilarious, his set fishtailed through jazz and rock and funk; he hasn't found his cult just yet, but with more songs like “Roll Play," he might." —Ben Ratliff, The New York Times

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
