Leonard Cohen Adds Second Show L.A.Live UPDATES: TX,Boston and more

Leonard Cohen plays L.A. Live and Now you’ve got two chances: Even before his April 10 gig at Nokia Theatre goes on sale.

Leonard Cohen has added a second date at the L.A. Live venue, April 11. Both shows go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.

Love Leonard Cohen and desperately want to see him during his coming tour but just don’t think you can brave the triple-digit heat in Indio for his Coachella appearance? You’re in luck.

The 74-year-old bard of Montreal has announced two more local appearances — April 7 at Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego and April 10 at Nokia Theatre in the downtown L.A. Live complex. Look for tickets to go on sale either next weekend or the weekend after that.

UPDATE, MARCH 6: To accomodate overwhelming popular demand, AEG Live has announced the addition of two more concerts:

2nd concert in New York at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, May 17.
2nd concert in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 11.

These 2nd shows will go on sale beginning Monday, March 9th, 2009 at 10:00AM local time, simultaneously with the 1st concerts!

UPDATE, MARCH 2: By overwhelming demand, a 2nd & final show has been added to following cities (Tickets are onsale):

Austin – April 1 @ Michael and Susan Dell Hall at Long Center
Oakland – April 14 @ Paramount Theatre
Chicago – May 6 @ Chicago Theatre
Boston – Saturday, May 30 @ Wang Theatre

Meanwhile, on March 31 Columbia Records will release Live in London, a document of the recently inducted Hall of Famer’s July ‘08 show at the O2 Arena there, and starting Feb. 25 NPR will broadcast portions of Cohen’s Beacon Theatre set last night, his first stateside performance in 15 years.
