Lenore Raphael reunites the trio on her CD A Beautiful Friendship" for her After Hours" performance at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola at Lincoln Center on Wednesday, September 15th,as part of the Diet Coca-Cola Women In Jazz festival...a month-long tribute to women who have influenced and made great contributions to jazz.
Jazz writer John Gilbert has called Lenore one of the top pianists in our art form...she always swings".
Lenore and her trio with Hilliard Greene on bass and Rudy Lawless on drums combine forces and as one writer says toss around the melodies with the casual banter of people who understand each other well, being happy to listen and respond thoughtfully to the musical statements."
