Saturday. February 24th at 8PM

Celebrate Mardi Gras season with The Pocket Brass Band, featuring five-time DOWNBEAT MAGAZINE Trombonist of the Year, Ray Anderson. The Trombone, Tuba, Trumpet and Drum line- up of this band will transport us to a New Orleans street party for the night featuring funk, blues, jazz and boogie.

$15, $13 seniors. Special $5 student ticket for this show

Last Licks Cafe at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at 109 Browns Road in Huntington, New York presents a concert with Ray Anderson's Pocket Brass Band at 8 PM on Saturday February 24th.

The Pocket Brass Band plays jazz, blues and funk steeped in the music of New Orleans. The unique instrumentation of trombone, trumpet, tuba and drums insures a monster bottom line and the deepest grooves. Anderson said of the Pocket Brass Band as having one ear cocked to the thump of the second line dancers' feet and the other tuned to the music of the spheres. Coming on the Saturday after Fat Tuesday, the show is sure to be a bit of the Big Easy on the North Shore of Long Island.

The Pocket Brass band features five-time DownBeat Magazine Trombonist of the year Anderson, who is also the Director of Jazz Studies at Stony Brook University. Martin Loyato on trumpet, Tristan Eggener on tuba and Terry Greene II on drums.

Tickets, available only at the door, are $15, $13 seniors, $5 for students.
