Kendrick Scott is a drummer extraordinaire and rising star in the world of jazz. Known for his artistic and sonic ingenuity in his playing, he has been praised by many of this century's top jazz legends, young and old. Herbie Hancock notes that, “Kendrick is not just a timekeeper, but he is a musician with big ears and a great imagination." As a result, he has been named “5 drummers Whose Time is Now" by the New York Times.

He has also been featured in Terence Blanchard's band for the last six years and has appeared on the Grammy Award-winning and nominated recordings, A Tale of God’s Will, and Flow, on which he contributed original compositions and orchestrations. Scott has toured extensively with Terence Blanchard, Herbie Hancock, Gretchen Parlato, Gerald Clayton, and too many others to name.

Later this year, Scott will be releasing his debut album on Blue Note Records. Kendrick Scott Oracle, his band, consists of jazz greats John Ellis (reeds), Mike Moreno (guitar), Joe Sanders (bass), and Taylor Eigsti (piano). They have produced three successful albums entitled Conviction, Reverence, and The Source.

Kendrick Scott Oracle will perform eleven concerts from March 2nd to March 18th, at top jazz venues across the United States. Aaron Goldberg and Walter Smith III will join KSO on this tour. The band will perform original compositions from his upcoming album release on Blue Note Records.
