Kelley Suttenfield Brings Offbeat Jazz Storytelling to Framingham, MA Oct. 29

Vocalist Kelley Suttenfield will bring her unique interpretive style and adventurous repertoire to Amazing Things Art Center in Framingham, Massachusetts on October 29th at 8pm.

New York based with Southern roots, Jazzmobile finalist Suttenfield has been building a steady following in the U.S. and Europe since she came on the scene just a few years ago. Her recent debut CD— Where is Love?—has received glowing reviews. Her recording includes Stanley Turrentine's “Sugar," “Ode To Billy Joe," and “Twilight Time" among other unusual choices.

“Here's a singer with a lot of great ideas, and the ability to deliver them. It's her debut disc, and the closest thing I can compare it to is Madeleine Peyroux's debut Dreamland, way back when. It's got the same feel...Give me more!" Jazz Weekly

When asked about her influences, Kelley recalls the music she heard “on the periphery" of her Southern childhood: Johnny Cash, Bobbie Gentry and Patsy Cline to name a few. She'll be accompanied by Michael Cabe on piano, Tony Romano on guitar, Matt Aronoff on bass and Brian Adler on drums.
