Harvey Sorgen's high energy and passionate mastery of many styles was lauded in Time Out magazine's listings when last he played with Katie Bull at 55 Bar. Well, if you missed that gig, you can hear him combust the room again - Harvey's flow and fusion edge of jazz, rock, and funk is evident on recordings and gigs with Ahmad Jamal, Robbie Dupree, Roswell Rudd, Dry Jack, Bill Frisell, NRBQ, The Mallards (his own group) and many others, including Hot Tuna. Harvey is also a consummate “out" player; he is a core member of the experimental jazz groups the Fonda-Stevens project, and Stevens, Rust, and Sorgen. He tours nationally and internationally.

Katie Bull is “...a downtown New York City cutting edge jazz vocalist..." Jazzweek. She has performed and/or recorded with numerous extraordinary veteran jazz musicians including Michael Jefry Stevens; Joe Fonda (with whom she has the Bull-Fonda voice/bass duo) ; Lou Grassi; Matt Wilson; Martin Wind; Frank Kimbrough; George Schuller; Jon Wikan; Cameron Brown; Josh Wolfe; and Cary DeNegris. Her Love Spook album was chosen by Singer/Musican Mag in the Top 50 Indie category for 2005, and Cadence magazine just gave Love Spook the Editor's Choice for Best of 2005.
