Karen Carroll will release a new CD, Karen Carroll's Blues Mix, all her original work on August 30th, 2011. Carroll's soulful interpretation of the blues, gospel and jazz, showcase her vocal and guitar talents along with Karen's unique song writing skills. It is with her tremendous love for music that this CD has come to life. It is an international contemporary sound of black rhythm, swing, folk blues, groove, hip-hop and pure jazz, all on one compilation. She worked with young American artist, Michael Booze of “Boozefam," in Europe to develop the new hip-hop tracks. Karen Carroll's repertoire of work from Professor Lusk's “Professors Blues Review" to “Talk To The Hand" was a prelude to her ability as a song writer. Some of those tracks being her own compositions are proof that this colorful blues master will emerge with a magical mix. This experience for Karen is a renewal of what is a successful program that gives the audience what they expect from such a flavorful artist.
