Singer/Songwriter and Pianist Jon Regen will open for world-renowned trumpeter Chris Botti on New Year's Eve at The Blue Note in NYC.

Regen, whose last CD Almost Home received critical acclaim around the globe, will front a band featuring Jonathan Sanborn on bass, and Sunny Jain on drums.

All Music Guide awarded Almost Home four stars, and Variety proclaimed, “Regen takes cues from forebears like Randy Newman ... both in the sardonic bent of songs like the wry 'Only My Credit Card Remembers Where I've Been' and the laconically elegant tenor of 'Hold Out Your Heart.'"

Regen is currently recording Let It Go, the follow-up to Almost Home with producer Brad Albetta (Martha Wainwright, Teddy Thompson).

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
