JC Hopkins and his Biggish Band perform original songs based in bop and swing. The band features Queen Esther on vocals, in front of a band of New York's finest instrumentalists.

Member Spotlight: Combining lyrical and be-bop phrasing with an all-out tone, baritone saxophonist Claire Daly walks in the footsteps of role models Sonny Rollins and Rahsaan Roland Kirk. As leader of her own ensemble, Daly has produced three critically acclaimed albums “Swing Low" (1999), “Movin' On" (2001), and “Heaven Help Us All" (2004). “Swing Low" was noted by former President Clinton as a CD that was personally significant to him while in office, and has been placed in the Clinton Library's permanent collection. A member of the Biggish Band since its inception, Daly radiates humor and style from behind the big horn that does her bidding. Daly is a player that stands out for her excellence, while demonstrating the camaraderie among members that brings the songs of the JC Hopkins Biggish Band to life.
