Jazzed Media Releases Marvin Stamm Quartet DVD

Jazzed Media has released a new performance video of the Marvin Stamm Quartet on DVD. Jazz trumpeter Marvin Stamm is joined by quartet members Bill Mays on piano, Rufus Reid on bass, and Ed Soph on drums.

The Marvin Stamm Quartet DVD/CD Alone Together (JM9002) includes a live performance of the Marvin Stamm Quartet in Los Angeles, California recorded in late 2006. A CD compilation of the music from the live performance DVD is included in the combo package.

Currently, Mr. Stamm spends much of the year touring. His activities include performing as a soloist, touring with his Jazz quartet, and playing in duo with pianist Bill Mays. Stamm and Mays recently formed and are touring with a new group, the Inventions Trio, which includes cellist Alisa Horn.

Jazzed Media, a jazz record label and film production company, was founded in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area in 2002. Jazzed Media's owner Graham Carter is a Grammy nominated record producer (The Bill Holman Band Live) and award winning jazz filmmaker (Phil Woods A Life in E Flat). Jazzed Media will soon be releasing a documentary film on alto sax legend Bud Shank entitled Against the Tide. Recently Jazzed Media announced the start of production on a documentary film of big band jazz great Stan Kenton.
