A Jazz Filled Exploration of the Big Apple!
March 24 -31, 2012

Turner Music and Cory Weeds' Cellar Jazz Club (Vancouver, BC, CAN) are pleased to announce the dates for New York With Weeds 2012.

This year's tour will begin on Saturday, March 24th and end on Saturday, March 31st, 2012.

Eight days & seven nights in the city that never sleeps.

The tour will include visits to the Village Vanguard, Lincoln Center, Steinway Piano Music Hall, The Kitano Hotel Jazz Lounge, and GB's Juke Joint in Harlem where there will be a live audio and video recording of the concert, and much, much more!

We will hit the ground running upon arrival in New York City. On Saturday March 24th (the first night of the tour) we will head to the famed Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center to hear The Music of the Tenor Masters featuring Benny Golson, Joe Lovano and Benny Maupin (tenor saxophones), Kenny Barron (piano), George Mraz (bass), and Lewis Nash (drums).

Over the next two days we will be seeing Seleno Clark's Harlem Groove at the American Legion, take a tour of the renowned New York Steinway Piano Hall, enjoy a private show at The Cellar's sister club, Smalls Jazz Club in Greenwich Village, and visit the famous Village Vanguard to experience the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra.

The tour continues with more visits to some of NYC's significant musical and culinary haunts, including Smoke Jazz Club, Miss Mamie's Spoonbread Too, Druid's Restaurant and Bar, and amateur night at The Apollo—where a 16-year-old Ella Fitzgerald first got started.

On March 30th, the tour group will have the unique experience of being in the audience for a live video and audio recording with the Ian Hendrickson-Smith Sextet at GB's Juke Joint.
