Jazz Pianist/Vocalist Patti Wicks returns to Italy for a concert tour with her Italian rhythm section for a series of performances featuring selections from her latest CD “Basic Feeling" on the Italian label “Jazz Guests" (dis. EGEA). The CD was recorded with her fine Italian “JazzMates"-- bassist and drummer, Giovanni Sanguineti and Giovanni Gullino,& featured the superb alto sax of Claudio Chiara (who regularly tours & records with singer Paolo Conte). Since its January 2005 release, “Basic Feeling" has received great reviews both in the Italian jazz press as well as in the United States. ( see AllAboutJazz review of “Basic Feeling" by C. Michael Bailey, April 2005) The tour will conclude with the recording of Patti's second CD with her Italian bassit and srummer at Studiottanta in Asti with producer Massimo Visentin, to be released on JazzGuests label early in 2006.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
