About Jazz Near You
Jazz Near You is a simple yet powerful way for fans to discover who is playing where and when. It's also is a free opportunity for musicians and presenters to list events while giving fans an opportunity to retrieve them from the web, their email and their phone.
Why Jazz Near You? A brief history.
Jazz Near You content was originally presented at All About Jazz, but never in plain sight (typically below the fold or two clicks away from the home page). We felt event information and business listing information was of equal importance and deserved much greater exposure, so we decided to spin off the event information into a separate website. It took us nearly a year to build Jazz Near You, and we've been improving the platform ever since. In two short years, it has become the standard for jazz event information online.

We'll partner with more catalyst and advocacy organizations; we'll partner with more event aggregators (an ongoing effort); we'll develop a cross-platform version of the app; we'll better integrate our teacher directory; we'll improve our widgets so they more seamlessly integrate with a host website; and we'll develop training sessions for musicians and presenters.
