Concert goers can track shows they plan to attend as well as maintain a history of shows they've previously attended.
Jazz Near You—the leading jazz events platform of its kind—has added an exciting new feature that allows members to track events they plan to attend and share them on Facebook and Twitter. Jazz Near You will also maintain a member's history of previously attended shows.

Events can be added to a member's personal calendar by clicking the green calendar icon on any calendar page or by clicking the “Add to Your Jazz Near You Calendar" link on an event detail page.

A member's personal calendar page is broken down into four sections: (1) current shows a member plans to attend, (2) local calendar of favorite musicians, (3) global calendar of favorite musicians, and (4) previously attended shows.

The personal calendar page can be accessed by clicking the calendar icon in the top right corner of every All About Jazz and Jazz Near You page (between the private message icon and the search icon).

Jazz Near You will also list users who are planning to attend a show on an event detail page and allow them to share their personal calendars with their friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter with the goal of establishing meet-up opportunities and building stronger and more active fan bases in each city.

The red bell on the calendar icon (top right) indicates an event you checked is today.

Get started, have fun, and let us know what you think!

Add shows to your personal calendar, follow your favorite musicians, share your personal calendar on social media, and let us know what you think. We're curious to get your feedback as we improve this useful and fun feature.

We're already considering improvements including a journal feature where you can document your concert experience with photos, text and a star rating.

Making the personal calendar possible

We'd like to thank our fund drive supporters for making this feature possible—their contributions directly funded the development of this project. If you appreciate this feature and would like to help fund future innovations at All About Jazz & Jazz Near You, please go here.
