The Hopewell Valley Bistro & Inn will continue to expand its current jazz programming to include internationally known jazz artists. On Friday, June 10 from 8:00 to 10:30 p.m., Master Jazz Guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli will be joined by top New York area musicians, Jerry Bruno, long time associate on bass and Bobby Shaken on drums as The Bucky Pizzarelli Trio.

For more than half a century, John “Bucky" Pizzarelli has been a part of the fraternity of musicians who have kept mainstream and traditional jazz alive. He has many recordings as a leader as well as a featured sideman. The list of big bands and vocalists with whom Bucky has performed and recorded reads like a veritable Who's Who of Jazz. Bucky Pizzarelli is a superior guitarist who swing musicians in particular appreciate. He toured for years with the Vaughn Monroe Orchestra and later with Benny Goodman. He has performed or recorded with jazz legends such as Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Rosemary Clooney, Zoot Sims and Ray Brown. He has appeared at Carnegie Hall with George Barnes and Les Paul and at jazz festivals around the world as well as several times at the White House. He was a staff musician with NBC and ABC, with Skitch Henderson, Mitch Miller and with Doc Severinson’s Tonight Show Band. Bucky is also featured on the soundtracks to several movies, most recently Woody Allen’s “Sweet and Lowdown”. He has recently received two honorary “Doctor of Music” degrees from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY and from the University of Southern Illinois at Edwardsville.

The Hopewell Valley Bistro, in the little borough of Hopewell, NJ, provides a comfortable setting where you can go to listen or dance to jazz standards on a regular basis and never have to pay for parking. For this special event, The Hopewell Valley Bistro and Inn will provide a Fixed Price Menu that will include appetizer, soup/salad, entrée, dessert, coffee or tea and the entertainment. There will be community seating for parties less than six. The dance floor in the HVB Starlight Room will be available for dancing. Reservations are now being accepted at 609-466-9889.
