The Hopewell Valley Bistro and Inn, in the little borough of Hopewell, NJ, provides a comfortable setting where you can go to listen or dance to jazz standards on a regular basis and never have to pay for parking. On Saturday, October 9, The Hopewell Valley Bistro and Inn will expand its current jazz programming to include the internationally known Harry Allen-Joe Cohn Quartet.
Harry Allen, Tenor Saxophonist and BMG recording artist and guitarist, Joe Cohn, son of legendary saxophonist Al Cohn and vocalist Marilyn Moore have performed at jazz festivals worldwide. Mr. Allen has performed with jazz legends such as Rosemary Clooney, Ray Brown and Bucky Pizzarelli and has recorded with Tony Bennett, James Taylor and John Pizzarelli. Mr. Cohn has performed and recorded with such jazz greats as Dizzy Gillespie, Zoot Sims, Freddie Hubbard, Artie Shaw and of course, his father, Al Cohn. Mr. Allen and Mr. Cohn will be joined by top New York musicians, Joel Forbes on bass and Chuck Riggs on drums.
