The Boston based “Jazz in the Air" jazz trio and quartet is releasing its fourth full length CD Sassy in January 2009. Songwriter and group leader Bob Sabourin has moved in a new direction with a bevy of original tunes mixing hip hop and dance rhythms with contemporary and traditional jazz stylings. The resulting tracks are fresh and upbeat, featuring Ririka Tokushige on alto and tenor sax, Michael McNeil and Joseph Reid on piano, Ken Willinger on guitar, Andrew Jones and Dave Ellis on drums, and Bob Sabourin on bass. This CD follows Easy Does It released in 2008, When I Dream released in 2007, and Time to Dance released in 2006.
“Jazz in the Air" is a popular jazz trio and quartet that performs regularly throughout the greater Boston area at restaurants, hotels and venues such as the New England Convention Center and the Worcester DCU Center.
