Hands for Africa is honored to announce the addition of Jazz and Blues great, Barbara Morrison to the Reach for the Sky event to benefit amputee victims in Haiti and Sierra Leone.

Fresh off a 33 US City tour, co-headlining in an all-star tribute to legendary composer Harold Arlen (most recognizable for his genius behind the music for the classic film, The Wizard of Oz), Ms. Morrison now celebrates her 30th year in the music industry. She will perform with her band at the Saturday, May 15th 2010 event at 7pm at the private Orange Hills home known as Chelsea Manor Mansion. This home was the 2003 Orange County Philharmonic House of Design and provides a spectacular backdrop for an evening of world class entertainment, food and wine. Tickets are $150 each. Purchase early bird tickets for $125!

Hands for Africa is a NGO, nonprofit borne out of the aftermath of the Blood Diamond industry in Sierra Leone. Hands for Africa believes that self reliance is the cornerstone for the development of innocent victims and communities ravaged by the civil wars in Africa. Hands for Africa is focused on restoring lost hope, building communities and preserving generations through self reliance. Hands for Africa ensures that victims are assessed carefully to develop programs and/or implement existing programs that will foster self-reliance. To help with our mission in Haiti or our ongoing work in Sierra Leone, please call Tracy Yassini at (714) 426.2248.
