Opening up the third season of the Jazz Bridge Neighborhood Concerts Series at the Cheltenham Center for the Arts, 439 Ashbourne Road, Cheltenham, PA will be the Dukes of Destiny. Led by vocalist John Colgan-Davis, this seven-piece group has gained a large and loyal following over 25 years among Philadelphia listeners who know and love the blues. They've appeared at the River Blues Festivals at Penn's Landing, the YO Philadelphia Festival, and the Pocono Blues Festival. They've also opened for such greats as Albert King, Charlie Musselwhite, Commander Cody, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Koko Taylor, John Lee Hooker, and John Mayall and worked with Chicago guitarist/singer Otis Rush and singer Terry Evans at the Penn State Festival of the Arts. A Philadelphia Folk Song Society award winner in 1993, this band is tops and should not be missed!
