Jazz Bridge Presents the Dave Posmontier Quartet!

It's the end of the first season of the Jazz Bridge Cheltenham Neighborhood Concerts Series and our last concert will be a CD release party!



Appearing at the Cheltenham Arts Center, 439 Ashbourne Rd., Cheltenham, PA, on Wednesday May 5th will be the Dave Posmontier Quartet. One show: 7:30-9PM. Tickets: $10/$5 for students. No advance sales. This is the end of the season, so in addition to free refreshments, there will be a free buffet! For info: 215-517-8337

The Dave Posmontier Quartet, consisting of pianist Dave Posmontier, bassist Chico Huff, drummer Erik Johnson, and saxophonist Bob Howell, will be celebrating the release of their second CD, Pos-Terity, on Dreambox Media.

Throughout his career, Dave Posmontier has performed with noted musicians including saxophonists David “Fathead" Newman and Grover Washington, Jr., and James Moody. Dave Posmontier was among the 100 alumni of Settlement Music School that were honored by the school for making a difference in the world of music.

Bassist Chico Huff has recorded and toured with guitarist Jef Lee Johnson, James Taylor, Blues Brother and comedian John Belushi, trumpeter John Swana, singer Carly Simon and many others.

Erik Johnson is a drummer/composer/multi-instrumentalist, and in addition to his wok with the Posmontier Quartet, he is a member of The Fractals, a Philly based power trio. Erik has performed or recorded with Ben Schachter's Trio of Many, Gary Bartz, John Swana, Jef Lee Johnson, Ralph Bowen, Larry McKenna, Jim Ridl, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Kurt Elling, Gerald Veasley, Huffamoose, Susan Werner, Ben Arnold.

Saxophonist Bob Howell has worked with bands and artists such as Richie Cole's Alto Madness Orchestra,John Riley, Odean Pope and the Saxophone Choir, Aretha Franklin, Sweet Stavinchain, and many others.

The Cheltenham Jazz Bridge Neighborhood Concerts are partially funded by a grant from the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts in partnership with the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.
