Renowned jazz critic Leonard Feather called her a left-handed virtuoso of the upright bass" and Jennifer Leitham has appeared on over 100 recordings with some of the greatest names in jazz, including Benny Carter, George Shearing, Gerry Mulligan, Peggy Lee and Joe Pass.
Leitham was also a member of the Tonight Show All-Stars. Aside from her wonderful work as a giant of the jazz bass, Jennifer Leitham is a transgendered person whose incredible story appeared in Jazz Times Magazine.
