Jamaaladeen Tacuma with BREWED BY NOON
Tonic, Sunday April 23 at 8pm
Featuring Aram Bajakian (guitar), Jon Madof (Guitar), Sean Noonan (Drums)

Brewed by Noon presents original music that is a blend of modern jazz and Tribal Rhythms at Tonic, Sunday 23 at 8pm. Tonic is located at 107 Norfolk Street, New York. Tickets will be $10. Brewed By Noon frequently invite a variety of exciting musicians to collaborate with them live in concert.

This time round they have invited funk prophet Jamaaladeen Tacuma to join them. The bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma is both outstanding and controversial. His work ranges widely from modern jazz through free funk, which he has helped develop, to hip-hop and rap. His playing has been criticised for over-riding his colleagues', but no one seriously questions the mark he has left on later generations of jazz and funk bassists.

Brewed By Noon is fresh and direct. Imagine Prime Time joined by Fela Kuti and Bill Frisell, then remixed by Bill Laswell and you will start to get a hint of what an intoxicatingly soulful blast this is. They bring to life a truly novel conception of folk-tradition that is nothing you have heard before.

Brewed By Noon have recently played a number of sell out shows collaborating with distinguished artists such as Marc Ribot (guitar) and Mat Maneri (viola).
