“Featuring Rising Star B.D. Lenz, Late Show's Will Lee and More"

“2008 Rising Star Award: Best Jazz Band (B.D. Lenz)" - GigMasters

New York, NY - May 14, 2009 - Due to changes in their programming for CD release shows on Wednesday nights, the Iridium Jazz Club will now feature funky jazz guitarist B.D. Lenz in one set at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2009.

Listen for Lenz's signature funky jazz in an album packed with firsts (June 2009). A mixture of the styles from Pat Metheny, Mike Stern, and Stevie Ray Vaughn, B.D. Lenz is one of the hottest new contempo- jazz guitarists on the scene today.

His sixth recording, and fourth Apria Records release, “Hit It and Quit" features a monster rhythm section in Letterman's “The Late Show" bassist Will Lee, world-renowned drummer Joel Rosenblatt, and musician/HBO actor Nick Rolfe on keys. Illustrious sidemen aside, B.D. Lenz received the “2008 Rising Star Award: Best Jazz Band Winner" from GigMasters. “This means we're doing something right," the premier contemporary jazz guitarist said from his East coast home.

With music featured in over 90 television shows internationally, there's no doubt you have heard B.D. Lenz's music on MTV, VH1, USA, Nickelodean or Comedy Central. This Godin-endorsed guitarist has performed over 1,000 shows throughout the U.S. and U.K., keeping the audience on their feet whether playing jazz, fusion or jam.

Ticket prices for the all-star performance at the famed Iridium Jazz Club in New York city's Times Square are $25 + tax on Wednesday, June 10 at 7 p.m. Guests can reserve a seat by calling (212) 582-2121, (908) 887-7196 or online at ticketweb.com.
