Pianist Jon O’Bergh has released a new holiday album, 10 Shades of Christmas, that offers compelling interpretations of some of the world’s favorite Christmas carols, including “The Twelve Days of Christmas," “Deck The Halls," “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," and “The First Noel."

Jon’s usual cyber jazz sound glides between traditional and contemporary styles reminiscent of pianists Dave Brubeck, Vince Guaraldi, and Tori Amos, to name a few. Although his signature sound that fans have come to love remains throughout each track, he introduces new arrangements accompanied by strings, horns, atmospheric sounds, and acoustic guitars.

Producer Andre Akinyele (Gemini Soul) helped Jon shape a collection of holiday-themed songs that stand on their own musically, sonically and, if you close your eyes, even visually. Jon is accompanied by Andre Akinyele (acoustic guitar, bass, drums, electric guitar), Earl Jones (percussion), The Nu Jazz Horns (horns), and Holmes Run Orchestra (cello, viola, and violin). 10 Shades of Christmas intertwines a style unto its own producing an enchanted holiday masterpiece that just might become one of your favorite holiday albums for years to come.
