HAMPTONITE: PHISH AFTER SHOWS
EOTO, BOOMBOX, PRETTY LIGHTS

J.WAIL, FREEPEOPLES FREQUENCY, SCI FI, DJ GINZA

EOTO

This March marks the return of Phish and their first shows (Hampton Coliseum, Hampton VA- March 6, 7, 8) in almost five years. With their return brings much cause to celebrate, and Glitterglu Productions is more than happy to serve up a tasty dessert to this musical main course with two Phish after-show parties at the Dr. Mary T. Christian Auditorium in Hampton, VA, only 3.5 miles from the Hampton Coliseum, Friday March 6 and Saturday March 7. The dance infused music lineup features a who's who of the live electronica scene, including EOTO (featuring former members of the String Cheese Incident), BoomBox, Pretty Lights, J.Wail, Freepeoples Frequency (featuring members of SeepeopleS) and Sci Fi. Although billed as an after-show for the main event, doors open at 9pm both nights and the shows will start soon thereafter for the many Phish fans who make the migration to Hampton, VA and aren't fortunate enough to score tickets.

Glitterglu Productions has truly cooked up an eclectic mix of live electronic improv and beat oriented dance acts to keep bodies shaking until 5 am. Headlining the first night are jam-scene veterans EOTO. Consisting of one third of the progressive sextet, The String Cheese Incident, EOTO is a joint venture between former SCI members Jason Hann and Michael Travis. The duo is an entirely improvisational collaboration of live instrumentation and digital mixing. They have eagerly taken to the road to deliver a totally inimitable and unforgettable live experience. Performing in roles completely different than the ones in SCI, Jason Hann and Michael Travis keep the crowds moving. With the raw power of live drums, the music is all created on the spot, recorded, and remixed live, proving no two shows are exactly alike. While completely different from SCI, life-long SCI fans will be drawn to the dance frenzy and originality that is EOTO.

The line up for Friday also includes national touring sensation J.Wail, who creates his own style of “live-club-funk" through innovative techniques using guitar, bass, vocals, synthesizers and live electronics. With 450+ shows in the last three years, J.Wail has proved himself one of the top up and coming acts on the scene. Also on the line-up is Wilminton, NC's favorite party band Sci Fi, who recently released their self-titled debut album to much critical acclaim. Following the after-show in Hampton, Glitterglu Productions is also proud to announce the EOTO Florida Spring Break Tour (March 9-14) consisting of shows in Islamorada (3/9), Key West (3/10), Miami (3/11), Marathon (3/12), Delray Beach (3/13), West Palm Beach (3/14), and Gainesville (3/15).

Co-headlining the second night of late night Phish extravaganzas is the wildly popular dance rock duo, Boombox and the Colorado based break-beat duo, Pretty Lights. BoomBox is producer/DJ Russ Randolph and singer/songwriter/guitarist Zion Rock Godchaux. This pair of dynamic artists uses their rich musical history and their vision of music and popular culture to deliver a style of music distinctly different from anything heard or seen in music today. This signature sound and show brings live music to a new, elevated level. Pretty Lights is the musical vision of the ultra-versatile Colorado based producer Derek Vincent Smith, accompanied in the live setting by drummer, Cory Eberhard. Together these two achieve a raw energy rarely reached in the realm of electronic music. At a time when music lovers from almost all subcultures and genres are finding common ground in the basic form of bangin' beats, Pretty Lights is giving the people what they want; electro organic cutting-edge party rocking beats that fill venues with energy and emotion and send dance floors into frenzies. Derek's latest album, Filling Up The City Skies is a two disc, 26 track journey through past, present, and future. The album has been downloaded over 30,000 times from the Pretty Lights website in the short three months since its release, proving that the PL sound is not only getting around, it's spreading like a virus.

Rounding out the line up on Saturday night are performances from J.Wail and Freepeoples Frequency (FFQ). FFQ consists of SeepeopleS frontman Will Bradford and SeepeopleS sound engineer Brooke Binion. FFQ recently opened shows for Lotus and BoomBox and are relentless in their attempt to revive big-beat electronic music, with their own unique flavor, of course. In addition to an already packed musical line-up, DJ Ginza of Elemental Harmonics will be doing special late night sets on both nights with an array of very special guests. All in all, Glitterglu Productions has drawn up a recipe for a fantastic dessert to the dinner that is the return of Phish.
