She moved from Los Angeles one year ago, after completing the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance, where she was the first vocalist ever to be accepted. Most recently, she has charmed and awed judges by taking first prize in the the 2004 Thelonious Monk Jazz Vocals Competition. She has performed with greats such as, Oscar Castro-Neves, Alex Acuna, Jeff “Tain" Watts, Mino Cinelu, and studied with Terence Blanchard, Dave Holland, and Tierney Sutton.
