In celebration of its 20th anniversary, The Jazz Foundation of America is holding its eighth annual gala benefit concert, A Great Night in Harlem, on Thursday, May 14, at New York's Apollo Theater.
Hosted by Danny Glover, Chevy Chase and Michael Imperioli, over 50 jazz artists will be special guests.
Slated to perform are Dave Brubeck, Eric Lewis, Lou Reed and Alberta Adams. A Great Night in Harlem will commemorate the long-term support and assistance that The Jazz Foundation of America has provided jazz and blues musicians with for the past 20 years. This year's honorees include Saint Agnes Varis, Geoffrey Menin, Dr. Frank Forte and Jay Nadel of Englewood Hospital, William Douglass and Jarrett Lilien.
