CHRIS BENNETT LIVE Grammy-nominated Jazz singer debuts new CD with L.A. concert

LOS ANGELES – On Saturday, November 12th , 2005, Grammy-nominated jazz singer CHRIS BENNETT will perform and debut her latest CD “Chris Bennett on Broadway” at the Ten20 Club in the Wyndham Bel Age Hotel in West Hollywood.

Bennett rose to fame in the 1970’s as a Casablanca Records disco diva and later, as background singer on many of Donna Summer’s biggest hits. She went on to write and record the theme from the film “Midnight Express” before penning songs for Tina Turner. A switch to jazz music in the early 1990s proved to be Bennett’s true calling, and, for over 12 years, she has toured the world and recorded critically acclaimed jazz albums for Rhombus Records.

This concert commemorates the official release of her 7th jazz CD, “Chris Bennett on Broadway,” a collection of Broadway classics performed in a contemporary jazz style.
