A festival of dance, music, video, and intermedia work

Wednesday, May 2-Friday, May 4
Whitney Museum of American Art at Altria
120 Park Avenue at 42nd Street

Amanda Miller, Andre Zachary, and Rick Callender of Miro Dance Theatre.

Highly expressive and emotional, almost anti-intellectual music, clear of texture and architectural in form, highly organized and basically tonal, though betraying no inclination towards any neoclassical procedures. A kind of nonrepetitive minimalism, brooding and powerful. -Records International

Jacob Ter Veldhuis's work possesses explosive strength and raw energy combined with extraordinarily intricate architectural design. Preoccupied with mass media and world events, JacobTV draws raw material from those sources. He has had a huge impact on the European music scene in the past decade, but he is far less known in the United States. This three-day festival is the first large-scale exploration of his music in the US. www.jacobterveldhuis.com
