Vocalist showcases her Celebration of the European Divas on December 5

Italian vocalist Giada Valenti will perform at Lorenzo’s Cabaret, 1100 South Avenue (at Lois Lane), on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $35. For tickets and more information, visit lorenzosdining.com. Giada will charm audiences with Celebration of the European Divas, her tribute to Edith Piaf, Dusty Springfield, Marlene Dietrich, Shirley Bassey, and Mina.

Transporting her audience from Paris, to Milan, to London, to Berlin, and back, Giada Valenti performs such songs as “The More I See You, The More I Want You,” “Io Che Non Vivo Senza Te (You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me),” “Lili Marlene,” and “This Is My Life." With passion and elegance, she features the music of one of her idols - Edith Piaf - by performing such songs as “La Vie En Rose,” “Milord,” “Mon Dieu,” and “Non Je Ne Regrette Rien.” Valenti is considered to be one of the best performers of Piaf’s repertoire.

Giada Valenti will also perform music from her new CD, And I Love You So (Perla Entertainment). With this just-released album, the Staten Island-based Italian singer and songwriter showcases her sound – a contemporary blend of adult pop with jazz influences (imagine a female version of Michael Bubl with a taste of Italia) – on songs such as “Grande Grande Grande (Never Never Never),” “La Vie En Rose,” “Se (Love theme from Cinema Paradiso),” and the title track.

E-jazz News writes: “If you listen to the pop/jazz music of Bubl, Diana Krall and Norah Jones, then you will definitely want to get a hold of And I Love You So and let Giada Valenti enchant you with her voice and mesmerize you with her music.”
