Ms. Nero enlisted the talent and expertise of her friend and fellow Motown alumnus, Clay McMurray. The album, Frances' first in the jazz vein, was produced at McMurray's Love N' Comfort Studio in Detroit. Frances comments: This is a lifelong dream of mine to salute Dinah for the feelings she gave to a song, she's the one."
Although Frances' jazzy side will no doubt be a new sound for fans, it is old hat for Nero. She is better known as a Motown and dance diva, but she began singing jazz before she became the first female artist signed to Motown's Soul imprint in 1965. This album showcases Frances' impeccable sense of timing and a sassy tone that would have made Dinah proud.
