Five-time Grammy award winning Blues musician Buddy Guy is playing at Elk Creek Vineyards in Owenton, Ky. on May 31st for the first ever 2008 Elk Creek Blues Festival. Also performing are Roomful of Blues and Cincinnati's own Sonny Moorman.

Concert-goers will have the unique opportunity to listen to one of the best blues guitarists while sipping Kentucky's world-class wine. The largest winery in Kentucky and winner of eight medals in the Kentucky Derby Wine Festival, Elk Creek Vineyard has made its mark on the wine industry and will now cross into the music industry as well.

“We are pairing a legend with a thoroughbred in Buddy Guy and Elk Creek Vineyards. This event will be a great way to kick-off the summer concert season, and we want to provide people with an alternative to the traditional venue by hosting this festival," notes Curtis Sigretto, owner of Elk Creek Vineyards.

The winery is located in Owenton, Ky., about an hour from Louisville, Lexington and Cincinnati. Tickets are sold online at elkcreekvineyards.com, and prices start at $30. Hotel packages will be available soon.
