The next edition of our anual jazz festival is coming up: it's the fourth edition of Porta-Jazz Festival!
Our main goal as a musician's association is to promote the original creation in contemporary jazz and this year we have many reasons to celebrate. We've had weekly concerts at our venue Sala Porta-Jazz always with a sellout, we launched three new albums under the purview of Carimbo Porta-Jazz and we've had the chance to welcome big names such as Perico Sambeat, Jorge Rossy, Seamus Blake and Guillermo Klein for excellent workshops.
December 7th and 8th will be two days and nights overflowing with great jazz concerts, jam sessions and lindy-hop dancing at Cinema Passos Manuel (Rua Passos Manuel) and Sala Porta-Jazz (Av. dos Aliados).
Miguel Ângelo will present again his debut album Branco, the newest release through Porta- Jazz's imprint Carimbo. Coreto, José Miguel Moreira, Mário Santos, Jeffery Davis, Susana Santos Silva and José Miguel Coelho will also perform, alongside with the renowned Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos.
