ESP-Disk's founder and president Bernard Stollman will attend the IAJE to celebrate the launch of the label's first 12 hour compilation dvd, containing long excerpts from 240 works, taken from every cd in the ESP catalog of 125 cds . The dvd was designed to be used as a teaching aid, as it provides 7-8 minute performance segments by every ESP improvisational artist. Stollman will sign dvds at the Borders store in IAJE, and he will meet and greet IAJE members at Stand 286.

ESP is also celebrating the release of its first 5.l surround sound dvd, a solo piano performance by Ellis Marsalis, which was recorded in its proprietary SONATURE technology by the Broadway sound designer and engineer, Bernard Fox. This dvd will also be available at the Borders store.

The ESP release schedule for 2007 includes previously unissued audio and video performances by Sun Ra, Bud Powell, Charles Mingus, Don Cherry, Eric Dolphy, Gato Barbieri, Wes Montgomery and Yma Sumac, among others, and reissues of many of its best known CDs, in new versions that include interviews of the artists.
