Enzo Rocco with Giancarlo Schiaffini & Ettore Fioravanti are happy to announce the coming out of TUBATRIO'S REVENGE. More and more noses on the third cd of the most crazy jazz trio from Italy.

“For a lot of people THREE is the “perfect" number; we would like to look upon it as a lucky number. Nevertheless, it has a special meaning in this Enzo Rocco's “TubaTrio's Revenge", the THIRD Cd in almost eight years of a group remaining, as at its beginning, a TRIO only. The Tubatrio is surprisingly still alive, in spite of the difficulties of proposing always and only “independent music" out of any rules. It can be said an “Italian Miracle". As if the country of “noses" - with at the head the most famous nose, the one of Dante Alighieri - should not have enough flair to appreciate the fresh and amusing irony of a jazz less hard than at first sight it could seem.

To tell the truth, “Noses" don't miss in this case. There are even THREE, one for each Cd. After Stefania e il naso, in the first album (1996, Caligola 2012) and Il ritorno del naso (1999, Caligola 2028), in this last one there is an amused and tasty Il paese dei nasi. A continuous mark under the sign of the “nose".

A last thought. “TubaTrio's Revenge" had to be published in 2002, but a lot of hitches slid its recording till January 2003. A year ending with the number THREE. A destiny sign? We hope so, because this TRIO really deserves a bit of luck".

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
