Grammy nominated trombonist/composer/arranger and educator Ed Neumeister celebrates the release of his new CD, New Standards on MeisteroMusic Records, January 18 at the Jazz Standard in NYC. A well-known sideman and creative improviser in New York for almost two decades, Neumeister has been living in Vienna, Austria recently, which has allowed him to continue his creative pursuits unencumbered by freelance life in New York. This date reunites him with Vanguard Jazz Orchestra pianist Jim McNeely, as well as John Hollenbeck and Drew Gress.
