Dr. John: Summer Tour, Special Bonnaroo Performance

2011 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dr. John will perform his landmark 1974 album Desitively Bonnaroo in its entirety on Saturday, June 11 with the Original Meters and Allen Toussaint at Bonnaroo to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the popular music festival, which took its name from the album. He will also join Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys the next evening for a superjam. Always one of the most anticipated events at Bonnaroo, the superjam will be a can't-miss mash-up of New Orleans flavor and epic blues-rock. In July, Dr. John and his band the Lower 911 return to NYC for a headlining show at the bandshell in Brooklyn's Prospect Park.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
