“Breathless entertainment that leaves you hanging on every note and gesture as [Divina] hypnotizes electricity and manipulates magnetism to release the voices of angels from the air with his fingertips..."

A seven-piece string ensemble with a concert thereminist performing classical works and arias by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Verdi, plus sacred music (Gounod) and popular seasonal favorites. This enchanting evening of slow and beautiful music will also feature one of the first 21st century duets with voice and electricity.

About the Theremin
The Theremin is a device invented nearly a century ago that captures electricity between two magnetic fields and contains it in the air. The thereminist places his hands in this space and bends the electricity into musical notes “without touching anything." Mano Divina's specialty is shaping these notes not into mere sound but to sing opera arias.
