Distant Structures EP Release by international Award-Winning Composer Hayley Lam

Hayley Lam is an international award-winning composer who has deep influences in both contemporary jazz and classical music. Her musicianship has been compared to “Stravinsky meets Brookmeyer" and with the likes of progressive rock fusion elements. Hayley has also won many accolades over the years including the 2017 Global Music Awards (GMA), 2018 American Prize in Composition- Light & Pop category, 2018 KMEA Composition Competition, 2018 Maurice Ravel International Composition Competition just to name a few. Her works were also commissioned for the London Women of the World equator festival just recently.

This EP is an aesthetic exploration of structural, electronics and contemporary abstract elements, which includes a mix of acoustic and high energy improvisational music. It also features her award-winning solo piano work Distant Structures, which was named the winner of the “Contemporary Piano 2017" international composition competition held by An Art Artistry in Athens, Greece.
