Ever wanted to jam with Derek Trucks? Well, pickers, singers and players, of any skill level, now have a chance.
The Derek Trucks Band have teamed up with IndabaMusic to create the “'Get What You Deserve' Remix Contest," which invites fans to collaborate with Derek and the band on the tune “Get What You Deserve," from the band's latest release, Already Free.
To participate, just head to the IndabaMusic DTB Contest page to enter. Once you're entered, download the four instrumental parts to “Get What You Deserve," and then get down to it. You can “sit-in" with the band by replacing one of the instrumental parts with one of your own, adding an entirely new instrumental part to the mix or by remixing the whole song. If your version hits the note with the panel of judges (Steve Berkowitz, A&R guru at Sony Music, Doyle Bramhall II and Derek Trucks), you'll have a chance win gear from Epiphone, Sweetwater and Shure, along with a chance to meet the Derek Trucks Band backstage at a show.
